Toolkit

Midjourney Icon
Generative AI is the worst it will ever be, so you better start using it. Picked Midjourney but I could’ve picked many more like glif or playground.
DAW Icon
A DAW, is a software to make music on a computer, the digital equivalent of a mixing console, its FX rack and its tap, it’s the cornerstone of production, They are all the same, but mine is the best (says absolutely everyone).
Photopea Icon
Does almost as much as Photoshop, but isnt run by Adobe, lol. Free and online.
video editing software Icon
Video editing software, we’ve came a lot way since manually glueing frames together, I’m also using CapCut and Shotcut.
VScode Icon
You know those black terminals hackers use in movies? Well, it’s that, but harder and more boring.
Blender Icon
A free, open-source 3D creation suite. It supports the entire 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing, video editing, and 2D animation.
Wordpress Icon
The IKEA of websites. Comes in a box, some assembly required. Great for blogs, small businesses, and people who think coding is what fish do to communicate. The go-to solution for people who want a website but don’t want to mess thing’s up.
React Icon
Facebook’s gift to programmers who thought regular JavaScript wasn’t troubling enough. It’s like Lego for web developers, but every brick is actually a fluffy cake.
CSS Icon
The makeup artists of the internet. It’s how websites go from looking like a 90s GeoCities page to something your design friends won’t mock you for.
HTML Icon
The digital equivalent of those ‘put square block into square hole’ instructions. It’s how you tell browsers what goes where, but with less swearing than assembling IKEA furniture.
Javascript Icon
That cryptic gibberish your coder friends love to soft bash. It’s like magic, but instead of wands, it’s runic incantations.
python Icon
TThe coding language for people who hate semicolons and love indentation. It’s like the Swiss Army knife of programming – does everything from web scraping to AI

TIMELINE

Lights, Camera, Action

Dove headfirst into the cinematic world in '09. Spent two years mastering the craft - from editing, filming, lighting, and copywriting.

Key projects: a mind-bending film about a scientist's quest for inspiration and a raw documentary on Tex, hermit and log driver. This crash course in visual storytelling became the cornerstone of my future ventures.

2009 - Cinema

Microphone check, one-two

Kicked off L'Amalgame, launching into the music scene. Wore multiple hats - songwriter, producer, sound engineer, and entrepreneur. Dropped two solid projects, honing our craft and building a buzz. The grind paid off as we carved our niche in Montreal's French rap underground. L'Amalgame evolved into a cultural force, later spawning "Le Collectif: Les Fourmis."

By 2013, I'd stepped away, but the foundation we laid continued to shape the local hip-hop landscape. This musical chapter schooled me in creative collaboration and grassroots marketing - lessons that stuck long after the last track faded out.

Electrifying the Stage

Leveled up to live event tech. Dove into courses on music, lighting, and video installations - the trifecta of epic performances. Cut my teeth working with bands and festivals, bringing their visions to life. From intimate gigs to massive crowds, I learned to orchestrate the technical symphony behind unforgettable shows. This hands-on experience wired me for the high-energy world of live entertainment and laid the groundwork for future innovations.

Culture and Late Nights

return to school! University this time, diving into animation and cultural studies. Snagged a certificate while expanding my creative toolkit. Learned the ins and outs of non-profit setups and dove deep into socioeconomic impacts on culture. Balanced the academic grind with some legendary nights out - because what's college without a bit of fun?

2014 - Cultural Studies

Brands and Ads Break

Back to uni, Immersed myself in the world of advertising. Learned how to effectively communicate a brand to an audience and create visually appealing ad content. Studied the intricacies of campaign strategy and picked up industry terminology. This deep dive into marketing expanded my skill set, providing valuable tools for crafting impactful messages and engaging audiences.

Crafting Narratives

Pivoted to building a diverse creative portfolio, aiming to break into ad agency work. Penned a comic series exploring friendship in the afterlife, blending humor with existential themes. Pushed boundaries with a second comic, being very early to the use of AI-generated images, especially in a narrative setting. Started a book about a man working on real-world simulations for a supercomputer, and a souless corporation. These projects showcased my storytelling skills and demonstrated my ability to innovate and adapt to emerging technologies.

"Just Learn to Code"

kickstarted my web development journey. As my interest in finance and investing grew, I channeled this newfound skill into passion projects. Developed a blog dedicated to microcap stocks, merging my coding skills with financial insights. Created a transactional website for a clothing brand, getting hands-on experience with e-commerce. Built a platform to showcase my creative work, honing my portfolio presentation skills.

While these projects are no longer live in their original form and were migrated to a free hosting plan, they served as valuable learning experiences, bridging my creative background with technical skills and entrepreneurial spirit.

You Too Should Do YouTube

Teamed up with VileShinobi, a talented storyteller and hardcore gamer, to dive into the world of YouTube content creation. We've built a solid foundation with over 40 episodes and 85 shorts under our belt. My role? I've been honing my skills in short-form editing, creating thumbnails that pop, and designing our website. Also been putting on my strategy hat, mapping out our channel's future. It's been rewarding to see our hard work pay off, with our top video hitting over 30K views. This journey has taught me loads about engaging audiences and telling stories in the digital age, all while having a blast doing it.
